Hi, I am Maria,

My name is Maria J. Rodriguez, I am not a nutritionist, a personal trainer, nor am I hired by any weight loss company. After you hit the big 6-0 there is no doubt that our muscles and metabolism change, and not necessarily for the better. They become weak and slower.  We need the right nutrients and exercises for our muscles to stay strong, and burn fat. As I have learned in all my weight loss attempts ... there is not a one size fits all.


So here I am wanting to share my personal insights on how to Be Fit for Life. Taking it one day at a time. I want to share what has worked, and sometimes not worked for me. It is a journey. A journey I am still navigating.  I am pretty sure I can relate with all of the same hurdles and struggles you have faced or still facing.  


New Year's resolutions are usually never kept, so I stopped making them, but I did for 2020 and now for 2021. I was not happy with how my clothes fit, I was always tired, and I was determined to wear my bikini to the beach this summer, without covering up. Therefore, I signed up to a couple of weight-loss challenges, and did not finish them, it was too much work.


So I began my weight loss journey on April 7, 2020 by signing up to weight loss challenge, with a Herbalife group. I committed to the Herbalife meal plan, using the products, and I started working out every day. I am now a member of Herbalife Nutrition, and believe and trust the products.


There are many professional sites out there, bloggers, health companies, nutritionists, personal trainers, and others, and they all mean well. I do read them, they have helped me, so now I am just someone sharing my journey in weight loss, getting fit, and staying healthy. To be honest, it is very hard to do this at my age.

This website and my social media platforms are based on my personal experiences with my weight loss, fitness journey, and mental state, of which I will be sharing with you. You are not alone, so I am hoping that you just read, and follow me, one step at a time, one day at a time.  I do know that it is not an easy journey.

62 Years old, a Grandmother, and Feeling Great!

It has been a long journey for me To Be Fit and now To Stay Fit for Life.


Let's face it, at my age my metabolism is very slow.  I was stuck at a weight that I did not want. When I began in 4 months I lost 15 pounds, and it is just a dip in the pool.


I am following a clean eating meal plan, and exercise every day.  

What keeps me motivated are my kids and my health.  Also, reading about how others are meeting their goals in fitness, and changing their eating lifestyle to healthy eating.


Feeling fit makes me feel more energetic, and I need to keep up with my grandchildren's activities.

Live and enjoy life now.

Laugh Out Loud! Get energy.

Be active now, for you and your loved ones.


I am sharing what, and how, I am staying fit. Now I am able to wear any clothing or bathing suits I like.
